The Charles P. Puksta Library has an extensive collection of resource material, but also offers access to many databases and other electronic resources, such as the following:

 

General subject coverage

Academic Search Premier: The worlds largest academic multi-disciplinary database, Academic Search Premier provides full text for nearly 4,650 serials, including full text for more than 3,600 peer-reviewed titles.

CredoReference: Credo is a vast online reference library, providing access to the full text of four hundred highly regarded and popular titles. And Credo brings the facts alive with images, sound files, animations, videos and much more. Find speedy, simple answers and full in-depth articles.

Research Library: Search for coverage of a broad range of subjects including arts, business, children, education, general interest, health, humanities, international, law, military, multicultural, psychology, sciences, social sciences, and women's interests

TOPICsearch: This current events database allows researchers to explore social, political & economic issues, scientific discoveries and other popular topics discussed in todays classrooms.

Anatomy.tv: the world's most detailed 3D model of the Human Anatomy, now available online through your web browser. Models can be rotated and layers of anatomy added or removed.

CINAHL plus with full text: The world's most comprehensive source of full text for nursing & allied health journals, providing full text for more than 560 journals indexed in CINAHL.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition: This database provides more than 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines.

Learning Express: This resource offers the practice tests, exercises, skill-building courses, and information you need to achieve the results you want in Nursing and Allied Health.

MEDLINE: Provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more.

ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source: Find complete, full-text information from leading nursing, allied health, and related publications. Designed to meet the needs of researchers at health-care facilities as well as students enrolled in nursing and allied health programs at academic institutions.

StatRef: A collection of electronic reference books in the healthcare field. Access the full text of key reference sources such as Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary, AHFS Drug Information and the Merck Manual of Diagnosis and Therapy. See also: RN Database and Anatomy.tv

EduRef: EduRef organizes extensive resources for educators at all levels.

ERIC: The Educational Resource Information Center contains more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information and citations and abstracts from over 980 educational and education-related journals.

National Center for Education Statistics: Search for statistics and full-text analytical publications from NCES, the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education.

Professional Development Collection: Designed for professional educators, this database provides a highly specialized collection of more than 550 high quality education journals, including more than 350 peer-reviewed titles.

ProQuest Education Journals: Covers literature on primary, secondary, and higher education as well as special education, home schooling, adult education, and hundreds of related topics. Over 600 titles in full text.

Eric Weinstein’s World of Science: A Wolfram Web Resource: Explains topics in mathematics, physics, astronomy, and chemistry

ProQuest Biology Journals: Search full-text journals in the life sciences.

ProQuest Computing: Search top computing journals in full text for research on subjects such as database design, software development, web commerce, LANs, WANs, Intranets, and the Internet.

ProQuest Science Journals: Features over 500 titles, more than 390 in full text. Provides unmatched research support for both the applied and general sciences.

ProQuest Telecommunications: Search the full text of top telecommunications industry publications. Includes magazines, journals, and newsletters for the latest in this fast changing industry.

U.S. Patent Database: This site provides full image access to all U.S.-granted patents back to 1790, with full-text searching back to 1976 and the full-text of published applications. The database also enables searching for references, which can include articles, reports, and proceedings.

Social Science

American Memory: The Library of Congress collection of online exhibits regarding American history.

Criminal Justice Periodicals: Search a comprehensive collection of U.S. and international criminal justice journals including information for professionals in law enforcement, corrections administration, drug enforcement, rehabilitation, family law, and industrial security.

OxResearch: A "first draft of history" as it occurs. Provides succinct analytical articles covering world and regional economic and political developments of major significance. ProQuest Psychology Journals: Encompasses a wide range of topics from leading psychology and psychosomatic publications.

ProQuest Religion: Search a comprehensive collection of journals covering religious issues and perspectives, including religious news and information, commentary on topics of general interest from the perspective of a particular religion, and formal theological studies.

ProQuest Social Science Journals: Includes over 510 titles, with more than 280 available in full text.

Public Library of Law: PLoL is the largest free law library in the world, because they assemble law available for free scattered across many different sites -- all in one place. What's available from PLOL? Newspaper Source: Provides selected full text for nearly 30 national (U.S.) and international newspapers.

New Hampshire Index: Articles from NH newspapers and periodicals pertaining to state issues, culture and history from 1984-present.

New Hampshire Newspapers Online: Links to online versions of New Hampshire newspapers

ProQuest Newspapers: Provides a balance of national and regional newspapers chosen for their journalistic excellence and regional representation. All titles are available in full text. Papers include national titles such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post.
